Take the Lead Movie Synopsis. in the family drama "Take the Lead" Antonio Banderas stars as famous ballroom dancer Pierre Dulane. The film is Based on a true story about a professional dancer who volunteers to teach in the New York City public school system. When his old methods clash with his students' modern instincts, he becomes friends with them to create a new style of dance and acts as their mentor in the process. "Take the Lead" also stars Alfre Woodard and marks the feature directing debut of veteran video maker Liz Friedlander (U2, Blink 182, Simple Plan). |
